Options
Affiliated Foods Midwest offers full service to
Member Retailers. Members have the option to either utilize services
provided by Affiliated Foods Midwest, or provide their own transportation
solution. Delivery Affiliated Foods Midwest owns and operates a
fleet of over 130 trucks, 250 trailers and employs 130 drivers.
- Rates are established on a CWT basis, determined by distance
from the warehouse.
- A reduced rate is applied per CWT for stores equipped with pallet
unload.
FOB Should a Member Retailer decide to handle their own freight,Affiliated
Foods Midwest also cooperates with outside carriers, pending Affiliated
Foods Midwest approval.
- Affiliated Drivers are a member of your team. They are there
to assist you in unloading. Unloading is a team effort. We take
pride in our drivers, as they are a key contact with Member Retailers.
Unload Assist The Transportation Division is self-insured.
The fleet is owned by the Cooperative Member Retailers. Any equipment
damage as a result impacts each Member’s patronage. Affiliated
Foods Midwest requires all Member Retailers to assist in directing
a truck while backing into retail location.
Freight Recovery As a means of offsetting transportation
cost. Affiliated Foods Midwest aggressively pursues backhauls where
possible.
- Advertising Benefits: Our tractor/trailers travel the 12 state
area and are seen by thousands of consumers daily.
