Affiliated Foods Midwest
Cooperative Philosophy
We believe we’re here for our Member Retailers, they are not here for us. Our goal is to be honest, open and positive towards all Member Retailers. Our success comes from their success. |

The single biggest impact a wholesale distributor makes on Cost of Goods is the expense structure. Not only operating expense, but also overhead and corporate overhead burden (Corporate Headquarters). Affiliated Foods Midwest Cooperative’s employees from the President to warehouse product handlers to office staff are all hands-on team players that are involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations.

Highly Efficient
Distribution System
- High Volume. Affiliated Foods Midwest Cooperative has a 1,000,000 square foot facility in Norfolk, NE and a 400,000 square foot facility in Elwood, KS both designed for efficiency and effectiveness.

- Slow moving items are efficiently managed through a batch pick carousel system.
- Product Merge. Product is palletized using a dedicated "tornado" system. Overhead conveyors centralize palletization of store orders, again allowing for efficient pick. This allows for enhanced variety.
Debt Structure
Affiliated Foods Midwest has absolutely Zero Long-Term Debt. Our physical assets are paid off. |
